I don't know why the file name is so big here as I couldn't find any release with such a big file name for catalyst 3650 series. The Bundle mode uses monolithic Cisco IOS images to boot a switch.

The Install mode uses a package-provisioning file named nf in order to boot a switch. Its a little bit different than before (havent upgraded a switch in 8+ years) so from what I understand from it Remove unwanted packages (to create space on flash): install remove inactive. I was just wonder if there is anything to keep in mind else when upgrading Cisco IOS XE. New switches, by default, are shipped with install mode. Does Cisco ship the switches with Install mode?.What's your opinion which mode is best to upgrade the 3650 switches when all the units are individually deployed (not stacked).
